Well, it's now May 6th....I have been lax in working on the Centerdoor.
Here's a rundown of what I'd like to work on:
1: Window glass mechanisms. The front quarter windows and door windows need to have parts replaced in the mechanisms. These do not roll up and down, but are on "lifts" and springs.
2. Install floor sills. I have determined that my body sills with attached floor spacers is a tad too large for the frame. I am suspecting that a former owner tried their hand at floor replacement and did an oopsie. Evidence of this is apparent on the sills.
3. Install cowl wood inside cowl.
4. Install firewall to frame.
5. Straighten rear radius rod on the driver's side.
6. Loosen and repair brakes, and replace brake rods.
7. Flush out transmission of any old rust using Kerosene.
8. Attach all remaining parts to get the motor started.
9. Pick up additional motor from a local T man. I've already purchased it.
10. Get new tires, tubes and all accessories to mount.
Also included in this is to get a usable radiator until such time as a new one can be purchased.
This is not a complete list. There is also some sheet metal work to do in a couple of spots on the body and fender wells.
